Meet COR Enterprises.....our Hands of Hope Recipient for the First Quarter of 2015!

COR Enterprises' mission is to promote the dignity, independence and success of persons with disabilities through vocational and support services so that the disabled may fully participate in the economic and social life of the community.  Individuals with disabilities are employed by COR in three different areas the Wood Shop, Document Management Services (shredding, mail preparation) and the Janitorial crew.  Their Career Guidance Center help individuals find work in the community and the Supported Living Department assists individuals who live on their own with grocery shopping, budgeting, bill paying, transportation and community involvement.  They have a variety of programs all aimed toward empowering a community of disabled individuals.

Western Security Bank has given COR enterprises a $10,000 donation that will go towards replacing the band saw in the Wood Shop that was purchased in 1973.  It has definitely paid for itself over the years but parts are hard to come by and when the machine is down the Wood Shop comes to a halt.  In addition, we will be buying them a commercial shredder for the Document Management Services where the clients are paid by the pound to shred documents from offices and individuals in our community.  Their current shredders often break down causing down time for the clients.

The Hands of Hope Campaign is a Giving Project honoring local charities to serve those living and working in Yellowstone County. As a Hands of Hope recipient, COR Enterprises has received the following:

$10,000 grant
A full page ad in the Billings Business Journal
Two 30 minute television commercials on KTVQ
Lobby signage
Social Media exposure on KTVQ, the WSB Facebook Page and the WSB Home Page
A volunteer service project performed by the team members of WSB

We are thrilled to honor COR enterprises so that they may continue to fulfill their mission to their clients and the community!
